Hi, I’m Heather Phillips, Founder of Luminosa Coaching
I enjoyed working for 21 years as a school leader in a large urban primary school in Birmingham, UK. The school was a learning oasis for 630 pupils from many and varied ethnic backgrounds. It was described as a ‘harmonious learning environment’ with ‘outstanding leadership’.
Although I had used coaching as part of my role as Headteacher for many years, in 2014 I formally qualified as a Personal Performance Coach with the Coaching Academy.
Now retired from Headship, I am fully focused on supporting leaders to achieve personal performance goals. I am passionate about my work in the education sector and know I can make a difference to the way leadership can be developed within schools.
I coach with joy, with passion and with absolute commitment to my clients and their improved performance.

Why ‘Luminosa’ as a name?
I spent some years living in South America, hence the Spanish feel to my company branding. Waking up every day in a country where the sun shines every day energised me, made me happy, increased my productivity and improved my attitudes to work and life and that elusive balance! When naming my company I wanted to carry those feelings with me as I sought to provide services for Headteachers and for schools. The sunshine gave me joy, ‘bright light’ and vitality – that is the essence of Luminosa.
